January 17, 2012...ASSEMBLE THE MINIONS!

 

That pesky to-do list.  What's to be done about it?

If I were Gru from Despicable Me, I'd "assemble the minions" and have them take care of everything.  But since my minions are "me, myself, and I," that's sort of pointless, you know?  So, it's either take care of my to-do list myself or it doesn't get done.

I think the hardest part is prioritizing.  I finally created a form for myself that divides all those items into four areas:  Long-term, Short-term, Critical, and General.  The page has all four boxes on one page and I can see at a glance what's due when and what projects, if any, have reached that stomp-on-the-fire-NOW-before-the-house-burns-down.

FROM NEW YEAR'S EVE 2011...
 

It's New Year's Eve and I've been thinking about how grateful I am for a wonderful year.  I have an amazing, supportive family.  I have my health.  And I'm able to write books I flat-out adore.  How could I not be grateful?  So, thank you to all who have contributed so generously, enriching my life with their presence.  And thank you to the readers who have followed me over the years, from Harlequin Romance to Desire, and I hope into the digital age as I transition in that direction.

I've also been thinking about the changes I'd like to make in 2012...those dreaded New Year's resolutions!  I have a few I'd like to share with you.  First, I want to be a kinder person.  More supportive.  Giving more than I receive.  And accepting people on their terms, not my own.  Second, I'd like to continue to improve my health.  That means exercising, lol.  Not only is it good for me, but for Yoda (see the pictures under my Biography link above).  Considering what a sedentary job I have, keeping active is a must!  Third, I want to keep my website, Facebook, and website updated, while trying <gulp> to blog and Twitter.  Yeah, yeah.  Quit laughing.  It's on the list and I'm going to try.  And finally, I want to write.  And write.  And write and write.

Here's wishing all of you an amazing 2012.  May it be filled to overflowing with happiness, excellent health, the warmth of family, and success in all your endeavors!

So, what's new in 2012?  Tons!!


First up, I have 3 new Harlequin Desire releases in 2012:  More than Perfect, the second book in the two-book "Perfect" series.  It'll be released February 2012.  A Very Private Merger is out in June 2012, and is book 6 of a six-book Desire continuity series entitled Dynasties: The Kincaids.  And then in November 2012, the ninth book in The Dante Legacy, Becoming Dante.  This is Gabe Moretti's story.


















I also have 5 mini-stories available.  These appear in the back of each Harlequin Desire, Dynasties: The Kincaids book, January through May, leading up to A Very Private Merger in June and offer the reader a glimpse of the first passionate encounter between my hero and heroine, Jack Sinclair and Nikki Thomas.

Finally, some really exciting news!!  In 2012-2013 I will be releasing my first 10 books (previously Harlequin Romances) in digital-only format!  Look for announcements for the release of the following books:  Jinxed, Where There's A Will, In the Market, A Wholesale Arrangement, To Catch A Ghost, Once A Cowboy..., Who's Holding the Baby?, Mail-Order Bridegroom, One Night Wife, and The Secret Baby!
